Mega-G+ Sauber F1 #77 C44 Stake FY HO Slot Car

Introducing the new Sauber F1 C44 #24 FY with an official license from Sauber Motorsport, AFX used the sponsor logos, livery details and body specs of the real life cars to create the most realistic HO scale version possible.

The Swiss company, Sauber Motorsport, shot off the starting line when it was founded in 1970. After its debut in F1 in 1993, Sauber carved out a name for itself. Not only were they one of the few traditional, privately held teams in the sport, they set standards in the design, development and construction of race cars to this day.

Sauber Motorsport conducts full and model-scale testing in the factory’s state-of-the-art wind tunnel providing ground-breaking innovation in the field of aerodynamics. The company’s evolutionary skill and artistry helped earn its induction into the exclusive club of teams to have competed in more than 500 F1 races. In 2022, Sauber Motorsport celebrated 30 years in the sport and continues to dominate both on and off the track.

These cars blow AFX’s already top-of-the-line detail and design rendering out of the water. Their multifaceted logos and deeply sculpted bodies pushed the boundaries of car construction to heights never before seen – much less attempted, at such a small scale.

The 2024 Sauber F1 C44 #24, driven by Zhou Guanyu alongside Stake 1 teammate Valtteri Bottas in #77, is built with a lightweight carbon-fiber monocoque featuring a Ferrari-supplied 1.6L V6 turbo engine and a redline of 15,000 RPM. The C44’s most dramatic shift may be the change from push-rod to pull-rod suspension, lowering the car’s center of gravity. That, coupled with its aerodynamic features - revised sculpted sidepods and a complex front wing - help maximize downforce while minimizing drag.

In 2024, Zhou Guanyu has solidified his reputation as a talented driver, showcasing strong performances behind the wheel of the Sauber F1 C44. Zhou's resilience and racecraft have enabled him to consistently challenge for points finishes, moving up the leaderboard with increasing confidence. Zhou's future in Formula 1 looks promising as he pushes the limits of the Sauber F1 C44. AFX honors the advanced technology and craftsmanship of the C44, from its aerodynamic lines to the precise cockpit replica, making it a fitting tribute to both the car and its driver.
