Of course, the iconic Mustang is Ford’s original “Pony Car,” the bestselling sports car globally for the past 10 years.  But in 2022, Shelby American unveiled its most audacious creation yet: the GT500 Code Red.

The Code Red stands as the pinnacle of Shelby Mustangs for straight line speed turning 8.59 seconds in the quarter mile. This extraordinary machine is powered by a hand-built, twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, unleashing up to 1,300 horsepower and 1,000 pound-feet of torque. The manifestation of a groundbreaking innovation beginning in 2008, this car is more than just a powerhouse. Upgrades in suspension, cooling, and aesthetics make the Code Red unparalleled in performance and one of the most powerful mustangs ever to come off the line.

With only 30 units ever manufactured, the Code Red exists in a league entirely its own.

AFX displays the Mustang’s unique, new design with a high-flying rear wing, muscular but sleek, sloping body, and intricate grill bearing the coveted cobra. Despite the name, the body is predominantly black. Vibrant red stripes running along the sides and dramatic interior details - like seatbelts of the same color - earn its title “Code Red.” With muscular 5 spoke wheels, this incredible engineering marvel will turn heads and, naturally, win races.
