Mattel continued the 440-X2 after their purchase of Tyco in the mid 1990's. They have also made some additional modifications to the chassis. Racers have indicated that the gray pan chassis is the best they've ever used. That may just be hearsay but judge it for yourself. This chassis can also be found as an HPX or HPX2. It comes with 2 traction magnets instead of the bar magnet used by the 440 chassis. This lightens the chassis resulting in better handling. We've included the Tyco 440-X2 layout since little has changed.
