The Chevrolet Nova was first introduced in September 1961 to be sold as a 1962 model. An enthusiastic driver response was generated by the Chevy II due to its economic size and the sporty appeal of its hardtop and convertible models. The Nova maintained it compact car status by virtue of its size as well as its performance from the 194 cubic inch, six cylinder engine.
A Super Sport option (RPO-Z03) became available on the Chevy II Nova 400 line in 1963. This was the only year that Chevrolet manufactured a "drop-top" Nova, as the convertible option was discontinued after 1963. This makes the 1963 Chevrolet Nova SS convertible one of the most collectible and valuable Nova models produced.
This 1/25 scale replica is produced as the result of extensive research using actual vehicle and Chevrolet specifications. Molded for hith quality beryllium steel tooling, this model features over 150 white styrene, clear and plated parts, with vinyl whitewall tires. For added realism, the fully detailed hood and trunk lid open and the steering is operable. |
